Finally, I had a chance to sit down, install and play around with the program so I can write a proper WP Twin review.  I was expecting some sort of learning curve, but thankfully, there really isn’t any.

The first thing I’d like to do in this WP Twin review is to congratulate both Jason Fladlien and Wilson Mattos.  Well Done.  You’ve built an unexpectedly sophisticated (in its simplicity) and powerful (in its abilities) WordPress blog making Machine. Seriously, what you’ve done here is no small thing.  You’ve brought WordPress cloning and backup to the masses. If you don’t believe me, just check any WP Twin review on the net, they all say the same thing.

The last time I bought a WP backup and cloner, it was so complex that I eventually gave up and returned it.  This was the exact opposite experience 🙂

  • WP Twin works with Mac or PC.
  • Simple to use.  You won’t waste hours trying to figure it out, and you wont have to pay someone to install it for you.  Even a caveman can do it. hehe
  • Works like a charm.  Has been able to move even the largest blogs (4+ Gb) with no problems.
  • Re-writes all the links to your new domain so they work!! (Big One)
  • Takes only about 5 minutes total to: a) clone any blog b) then deploy it on your new domain.
  • If you are only backing up your blog, then WP Twin takes only a minute or 2 total.

But the thing that every WP Twin review REALLY loves about WP Twin, is that with just a litte bit of outside-the-box thinking you can come up with a TON of other uses and applications.  Such as:

  • If you want to put up a bunch of blogs, instead of wasting time repetitively installing you theme and favorite plug-ins one by one, here you can just install a template version of a blog with everything set up the way you like, then clone it using WP Twin and use it to set up all your future blogs.  Think how much time that single function will save.  As all of us running a small business know all too well, time is money, and the time saved here will easily pay for WP Twin many, many, times over.
  • You can literally “create” products using WP Twin.  With a little bit of imagination, you can put together pre-packaged custom clones of wordpress themes and plug-ins, that you can sell. Having foreseen this possibility, the creators of WP Twin, Jason Fladlien and Wilson Mattos have already created a store for these pre-packages websites, called WP Twin Marketplace.  Right now the store is still new, so anyone putting pre-packaged wordpress sites up for sale should have an advantage.

These are just 2 of the many possibilities that this new technology will make possible.  I’m sure that other clever people out there will come up with some much more interesting options. If you run out of ideas, just check google, or check out any other WP Twin review.
